See: Britten's studio; an engaging exhibition for all ages on the man and his music; our 2014 temporary exhibition Conscientious objections: Britten's pacifist works; the historic library; and the gardens. Today the site opens 2-5pm. Admission free, but parking is £5. (See website for details of our free minibus shuttle.)

    To see inside the house today, you must book onto a guided tour. Places are limited, so early booking is recommended. Tours start at 2.15pm and 3.15pm and last 45 minutes. To book call 01728 451700 or email enquiries@brittenpears.org.

    On summer Fridays it's open house at The Red House. You can explore the house Britten shared with Pears at your own pace, and we also offer a selection of free events.Today Joanna Arnold performs the Cabaret Songs Britten wrote in the late ‘30s, setting the well-known ‘Tell me the truth about love’ and three other poems by WH Auden. Introduced by Librarian Nick Clark and accompanied by Melanie Jones. Library, 3pm.
