Britten 100 is an inclusive branding developed to link together the many events and activities that will celebrate the centenary of composer Benjamin Britten in 2013.

Who is Benjamin Britten?
Britten, who was born in 1913 and died in 1976, was one of the leading composers of the twentieth century. As you can see from our events database Britten's music is performed somewhere in the world almost every day. When is Britten's centenary?
Britten's 100th birthday is on 22 November 2013. The official Britten 100 celebrations start in September 2012 and end in August 2014, to include the concert seasons either side of the centenary year 2013.

Who is behind Britten 100?
The Britten 100 branding and website has been developed by the Britten–Pears Foundation (BPF) working in partnership with the three main publishers of Britten's music - Boosey & Hawkes, Faber Music and Chester Music - and his recording company, Decca. BPF is based at The Red House in Aldeburgh, where Britten lived and worked.
